What inspired you to book The Boudoir Experience?

I really wanted to try something new, this was definitely outside of my comfort zone!

After going through a divorce, I didn’t feel like the same person I was before, I needed something to boost my confidence back up and this did it!

How did you feel in the days leading up to your session?

I was nervous and excited, I didn’t know what to expect.

What do you think was fueling those emotions?

The events surrounding my divorce and emotions building up with out being able to get released.

  I felt so much more confident and my day was just better!
I was in a great mood!

How did this experience change your perception of yourself?

 

I know that I am beautiful and sexy! I don’t need anyone else’s approval for that anymore!

What inspired you to book The Boudoir Experience?

Hearing how wonderful Emily is with her clients, making sure they felt welcomed and how she makes you feel Beautiful in your own skin.

How did you feel in the days leading up to your session?

I felt well prepared, I was relaxed and so pumped to finally meet the incredible young lady. From the time I booked my session on the phone to the day I arrived I felt like I already knew Emily!! The Night before the shoot I could barely sleep! I was so excited to get started!

What do you think was fueling those emotions?

Seeing her work on social media everyday definitely keep me pumped to have my pictures done. Receiving emails about my experience and things I needed to complete really kept me on my toes. Before I knew it that big day was finally here!!

Tell me about your experience. How did you feel upon arrival compared to after your session was complete?

About two years ago my body went through a change with having my son. It has been tough for me to see myself as I did before. When arriving to my shoot I was worried about how I would see myself in my pictures. Honestly didn’t know that I could see myself the way I did. I’m so in love with my beautiful body once again. My curves, the muscles, the wrinkles, and even the vein in my forehead is what completes my body.. I’ve learned that your body can do some amazing things and you are still beautiful!

How did this experience change your perception of yourself?

I’m so in love with my beautiful body once again. My curves, the muscles, the wrinkles, and even the vein in my forehead is what completes my body.. I’ve learned that your body can do some amazing things and you are still beautiful!

What inspired you to book The Boudoir Experience?

I wanted to send my new husband off to deployment with a sweet keepsake to get him through our 7 months apart.

How did you feel in the days leading up to your session? What do you think was fueling those emotions?

Extremely nervous!  Mostly fear and lack of self confidence created the nervousness. As women we’re taught flaunting your assets is not ok. So naturally I’m use to dressing conservatively and not over emphasizing my assets.

Tell me about your experience.

I left feeling confident and empowered. Emily is so great at making you feel beautiful in your own skin. And once you see the photos you’ve created together it’s hard to feel anything less than beautiful!

How did this experience change your perception of yourself?

I left feeling sexy, confident and empowered. I walk more confident and stand a little taller. I can’t wait to share this with my husband because he knows how self conscious I am and he always encourages me to be confident and I think this is a wonderful way to show him I have succeeded in overpowering that little negative voice in the back of my mind.  Emily is so great at making you feel beautiful in your own skin. And once you see the photos you’ve created together it’s hard to feel anything less than beautiful!

I have a few friends who did the Boudoir experience with Emily. Seeing how much more comfortable they were with themselves, how much more confident they were, really inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and try something I never thought I would do. I had struggled with being comfortable with and loving my own body for years and years, as far back as high school. From hearing their experience and how much it changed them for the better, I decided to give it a shot.

Was your decision to do a boudoir session to document an accomplishment or milestone?

My decision to do a boudoir session is both an accomplishment and a milestone. I was able to step out of my own box and allow Emily to capture who I truly am, my curves, my imperfections, which I now see are good imperfections because they make me who I am. I have been trying to create the best me through exercising and eating healthier and this was a chance to show who I am before I graduate into my 30’s this year!

How did you feel in the days leading up to your session? What do you think was fueling those emotions?

I felt both nervous and excited! I think the anticipation of not knowing how the session was going to go for myself, even though I had heard how others sessions went, was what made me nervous. The excitement was that I was going to finally do something I never thought in my lifetime and more that I would do.

Tell me about your experience.

From the second I walked into the door for my session to walking out, Emily made the entire experience comfortable, fun, and most importantly empowering. She made it feel like she and I  have known each other for a long time. She was able to recognize aspects of my body, aspects of my own mindset about my own body to show off and highlight; aspects which are actually amazing, things that make her clients who they are.

How did this experience change your perception of yourself?

When I walked out after my session, I had a greater respect for my own body. However, that respect grew even more after I was able to see the amazing work that Emily created. Things about my own body that I thought were too big or not big enough or not good enough, they were suddenly great, perfect, amazing! I hold myself a little taller now, I don’t get down on myself anymore for being short and muscly. Rather, I look at myself in the mirror and realize that I was created to be this way and I shouldn’t ever tell myself or think to myself otherwise.

It’s a very empowering and humbling experience. If you think you are not pretty, or are not in shape or don’t have an amazing body… book a session. We have our own shapes and looks for a reason. We often get into our own heads on how we should look, but in reality, we don’t need to look a certain way, because we are who we are. Emily sees the beauty deep within each and every one of her clients and helps change the way we look at our true beauty.
